Abstract

1,171,365. Sauna cabin. ILSE-WERKE K.G. 26 June, 1967 [6 July, 1966; 6 Dec., 1966; 30 March, 1967], No. 29377/67. Heading A4N. [Also in Division F4] A sauna cabin (Fig 1) comprises an oven 4 (which oven, Fig. 8, has a central heating region spaced vertically from its floor, air inlet means 5 communicating with said heating region through flow distribution means (Figs. 2-5 not shown), outlet means comprising a perforated tray 40 for heated air from the heating region, to circulate through brick packing 41, a cooling jacket surrounding the heating region and communicating with inlet means 5, said cooling jacket being provided with air outlets 31 and 32 at its upper end, each outlet being hooded to prevent entry of water from above), an air inlet means 6 into the oven 4, an air outlet aperture 25, the arrangement being such that unsaturated air enters the oven through inlet 6 and after heating passes into the interior of the sauna cabin and mixes with our already present, benches and bunks 1, 2 and 3 and baffle 9 to deflect heated air into the cabin. The cross sectional areas of inlet 6 and outlet 25 are so proportioned as to ensure a substantially draught-free passage of air through the sauna cabin. Water distribution means to distribute water over the top 4 of the heated bricks 41 are shown in Figs. 6 and 7. Various constructional details of the sauna cabin are also referred to.
