Abstract
1,170,569. Steel. NIHON SEIKOSHO K. K. July 1, 1968 [Aug.16, 1967; Sept.21, 1967], No.31274/68. Heading C7A. A high ductility, high tensile strength steel comprises: - C 0À05-0À25% Mn 0À2 -2% Ni 0À5 - 3% Si 0À1 - 0À7% Te 0À003 - 0À04% Al below 0À08% Cr below 2% Cu below 0À6% Mo below 1% the balance, apart from impurities, being iron. The steel may be modified by the addition of at least one of:- V 0À005 - 0À15% Ti 0À005 - 0À15% Zr 0À005 - 0À2% Nb 0À005 - 0À3% Ta 0À003 - 0À3% and B 0À0005 - 0À006% when the Ni content may be less than 3%. The steels may be normalized at 900‹C. or heated at 900‹C. or 950‹C. followed by annealing at 650‹C.
