Heading B7H. An electrically-propelled lift truck derives its power from batteries 5 disposed laterally of the vehicle, the driver's seat being disposed between them and below their upper surface or coverings. The coverings 10 may be withdrawn rearwardly for access and are provided with a peg and slot arrangement for holding them in the withdrawn position. The seat may be mounted at 14 upon a pedestal in an arrangement allowing it to be raised and swung to positions at 45 and 90 degrees of the normal position. Access for the driver is from the rear of the vehicle.
