[Also in Division G1] In a circuit for comparing the amplitudes of signals applied to input terminals 10, 11a, change-over switching arrangement comprises diodes 13, 14 respectively connected between input terminals 10, 11 and a comparator 12 and further diodes 18, 19 supplying bi-polar switching pulses from 17, a variable resistor 20 or 21 being included in series with one of the further diodes 18, 19 so as to adjust the relative attenuation imposed on the signals from 10 and 11 to zero of the comparator 12. The circuit is applicable to the comparison of 500 MHz signals at 10, 11 by means of a milli-volt meter 12 described in Specification 1,112,419.
