Abstract

1,123,054. Telegraphy. SIEMENS A.G. 8 Nov., 1965 [6 Nov., 1964], No. 47217/65. Heading H4P. In a circuit for compensating for D.C. wander in the output of a frequency shift telegraph receiver, the complementary signals A, B from the discriminator DS are converted to a double current signal at d by a pair of potentiometers P1, P2, Fig. 1, which signal passes via a resistor R3 to a variable voltage divider comprising a transistor T whose output feeds bi-stable K. The base voltage is derived from one or the other of two taps, a, b, on potentiometers P1, P2. Depending on the relative magnitudes of the voltage at a, b, and across capacitor C, one or other of diodes G1, G2 conducts, the voltage at a or b then charging capacitor C. The voltage across the capacitor controls the impedance of transistor T such that the double current signal passed to K has no D.C. bias.
