An expendible tray for displaying moist foodstuffs is formed from a sandwich of three plies, the inner and outer plies being impervious, e.g. polystyrene and the middle ply of absorbent material, e.g. blotting paper, the inner ply having apertures through which moisture may travel to the absorbent ply and being embossed to define drainage channels leading to the apertures. Preferably at least the inner ply is opaque.
