Abstract

[Also in Division B8] A thin-walled plastics container, e.g. of polystyrene, has an annular section provided at intervals with projecting members 26, the remainder of the annular section having a less pronounced reverse taper than the members 26 and consequently a narrower ledge (28), Fig. 4 (not shown) at the lower edge of the section. The members 26 are designed to prevent adjacent containers in a stack from jamming. The container may also be of expanded polystyrene, or a laminate of plastics foam with paper or with plastics film. A snap-on lid may be fitted after the containers are separated.
