Abstract

1,168,244. Electromagnetic switches. EICHNER-ORGANISATION G.m.b.H. 24 Oct., 1966 [23 Oct., 1965], No. 47709/66. Heading H1N. A sealed magnetic contact device 1 is actuated by the stray flux emanating from a soft iron member 11 carried by the armature 8, 9 of an electromagnet 10 only when the armature 9 has been moved to its attracted position by energisation of the electromagnet. As shown, the contact device indicates actuation of a card punching tool 22 carried by armature 8, 9. The contact device is physically protected by a magnetic screen 12 secured to the electromagnet. The contact device is soldered to a printed circuit board 4 and bridges a cut-out portion on the board as in Specification 1,168,245. More than one contact device may be provided.
