Abstract

1,167,560. Multiple coatings. FUJI SHASHIN FILM K.K. 6 Dec., 1967 [7 Dec., 1966], No. 55560/67. Heading B2E. A multiple doctor coating method for applying fluid coating compositions in at least a bottom layer. and an adjacent upper layer or a covering support is characterised in that the viscosity of the coating composition of the upper layer is higher than that of the coating composition of the bottom layer. The support may comprise a photographic film base and the coating composition may comprise a photographic emulsion. In addition to the. bottom and upper layers,. a third layer may be applied. The viscosity of the coating composition of the third layer is not lower than that of the coating composition for the upper layer.
