Abstract

1,165,448. Ice cream delivery nozzle. BERGBOM & CO. A.B. 14 Nov., 1967 [15 Nov., 1966], No. 51869/67. Heading A2B. [Also in Divisions Bl and F2] A delivery nozzle for soft ice cream machines comprises a housing 5 in which a piston 6 may be moved longitudinally (by lever 9 actuated by handle 7) to permit ice cream to emerge from nozzle opening 10 via port 3 in the freezer 2. The piston contains an axial bore 13 opening into the nozzle opening 10, and a radial bore communicating therewith whereby when the piston is sufficiently raised in the direction of arrow 11 a flavouring material such as jam may enter the bore 13 from supply container 20 via pump 17 and line 15. The flavouring supply thus commences after, and finishes before, the ice cream supply. The pump 17 may be driven by an electric motor 18, controlled by switch 22 actuated by the lever 9.
