Abstract
116,453. Koop, P., (Koop, P. G.). Nov. 5, 1917. Indicators actuated by floats. -A liquid-level indicator for liquidfuel tanks comprises an indicating dial h having unit divisions, and a hand i operated by a chain connected to a float g in the tank and to a counterbalance weight k, which serves as a pointer on a scale m graduated in tens. The whole is enclosed in a casing z. A set hand n is provided to indicate the initial reading when a quantity of fuel is being poured into or withdrawn from the tank. A small disk p behind the dial plate is marked similarly to the scale and is moved by hand so that the number corresponding to the indication on the scale is visible through an opening o in the dial plate. The tank a is placed in the ground and is provided with a filling pipe b having a removable strainer c and with a discharge pipe t carrying a double-acting pump r.
