Abstract

1,163,404. Hydraulic apparatus. ASSOCIATED ENG. Ltd. Feb. 17, 1967 [Feb. 18, 1966], No.7344/66. Heading F1P. An hydraulic motor 1 is connected by conduits 4 to a spool valve 6 operable to direct fluid from a source 3 to one of the conduits 4 and to direct fluid returning from the motor through the other conduit 4 to drain 5, and the conduits 4 are provided with calibrated orifices 7 connected to the source 3 whereby leakages occurring in the motor and the spool valve 6 are made up. The orifices 7 prevent gradual loss of pressure in the conduits 4 especially when the spool 6 is in its neutral position shown. Excessive pressure in one of the conduits 4 is relieved to the other conduit 4 through valves 8.
