[Also in Division E1] A device for insertion into a water supply system at a point where noise occurs when the system is in use due to the pressure drop at the point comprises at least two closed conduits connected in parallel and of a length and crosssection to cause an appropriate hydraulic resistance to limit flow at said point. The device may comprise a circular pipe that has been partially flattened or otherwise deformed or a circular pipe having a conduits-defining insert therein.
