[Also in Division F2 1 , Undriven end spindles (21) of spools (7, 8) carrying the glass fibre filtering web of a non- endless travelling band air filter are supported by slotted plates .19, which are pivotally mounted on the filter housing frame defining the air passage, so that they may be folded flat into the frame (dotted lines) for storage. One end of the lower, take-up roll (8) is driven by a motor (9) and is connected to the driving gear 'by an assembly of interfitting U-shaped menabers (22, 24), secured together by a spring clip passing through aligned apert.ures therein. The slots in two plates 19 supporting the non-diriven .supply spool may be of different widths, corresponding to the spindles, so that the spool can be inserted only the correct way round.
