Abstract

1,253,060. Moving band air filter. AMERICAN AIR FILTER CO. INC. 4 Nov., 1968 [2 Nov., 1967], No. 52135/68. Heading B1T. [Also in Division F4] In a central air conditioning unit, an air filter comprises a continuous sheet 16 of spun glass extending between a supply roller 14 and a take-up roller 17. A frame 19 including supports 18 and idle rollers 20 support the sheet between the rollers. An indicator may be provided to signal a clogged condition of the filter material so that the sheet may be advanced across the air flow path. Both rollers 14, 17 are removable from the air conditioning unit. (For Figure see next page)
