1,161,854. Impregnating timber and brickwork. RICHARDSON & STARLING Ltd. 20 June, 1968 [11 Oct., 1967], No. 46429/67. Heading D1P. Material, e.g. timber or brickwork, is impregnated with a liquid by boring a downwardly inclined hole 9 and inserting a supply tube 1 which has a breathing hole 2 and is connected to a bottle 6 containing the liquid. Liquid flows from the bottle until the level of liquid in the hole reaches the breathing hole, wherefater further liquid only flows from the bottle to replace that absorbed by the material.
