Abstract

1,161,714. Sewing machines. J. & P. COATS Ltd. 28 April, 1967 [1 Sept., 1966], No. 19784/67. Heading D1G. A thread case 14 adapted for use with a centre-rewind cop 10 comprises a side wall 15, an end wall 16, an aperture 20 formed in the vicinity of the juncture between the side wall and the end walls, and a recessed channel 21 which is formed in the end wall and extends from the centre thereof to the vicinity of the aperture. As shown, recess 21 is fan-shaped, is about 0.010 inch deep, and provides clearance for thread 13 unwinding from the centre of cop 10 and passing through aperture 20.
