Fittings, external; lids and covers.-The walls of a box or carton adapted to be stood at an angle to display the contents are formed with tongues 2, 6 which car be turned outwards to support the body 1 and the lid 8 in inclined positions. The tongues 2, 6 :nay be normally held in place by perforated parts 9, which must be severed before the tongues can be turned aside; or the cuts 4 may normally extend only partly through the walls of the box. The hinge-lines 10 may be strengthened by glued strips of fabric &c.
