A flanged compound plastics tube comprises an inner jacket 7 formed from a thermoplastics material and an outer covering 1 produced from a thermo-setting plastics material the ends of the compound tube being provided with flanged bushings 4 of a thermosetting plastics material bonded on to the outer covering each end surface 5 of the flanges of the bushings being covered by a beading 6 produced from the inner jacket 7. The bushings 4, which are made of a glass fibre reinforced polyester, are bonded to stepped annular surfaces 3 in the jacket 7, the covering 1 also being made of the same material. The projecting ends of the inner jacket 7 can be turned over by a special tool which may be heated.
