Abstract
1,159,475. Method of fertilizing soil. EMERY INDUSTRIES Inc. 4 Aug., 1966 [12 Aug., 1965], No. 35074/66. Heading C1B. [Also in Division C2] A method of fertilizing soil, whereby urea is gradually released by the action of water, comprises applying to the soil a urea adduct of an amine salt having at least 10 carbon atoms, said salt being formed from a straight chain mono- or di-carboxylic acid. The adducts may be coated, e.g. with paraffin wax or synthetic resins, to increase resistance to water dissolution. Components of conventional fertilizer compositions may also be present.
