An anti-skid attachment for a tyre comprises a rectangular steel plate 1 bent at each end out of the plane of the plate and formed with a slot 3 adjacent each edge to receive a fixing strap, the flat central part of the plate having blades or teeth 5 pressed out at right-angles away from the bent-up ends.
