1,158,394. Cooling tower packings. KOMPLEX NAGYBERENDEZESEK EXPORTIMPORT VALLALATA. 19 July, 1966 [28 July, 1965], No. 32384/66. Heading F4K. In a cooling tower, the water coolant is sprayed along a sloping distributer surface 2 and is made to form films down vertically depending bars 4 by means of deflector members 13. The deflector surfaces 7 of the members 13 may be flat or concave, and may be at an obtuse angle or perpendicular to the direction 12 of water flow. The bars 4 may be of any cross-sectional shape and area. A gap 9 of notmore than 3 millimetres may be formed bebetween the deflector members and either the distributer surface 2 or the bars 4.
