Compounds of the formula and their mineral acid addition salts where R 1 is H, a C 1-8 alkyl, or hydroxy-C 1-8 -alkyl group, R<SP>11</SP> is a C 1-8 alkyl, hydroxy C 1-8 alkyl or phenyl group, or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> together with the adjacent N-atom form an optionally C 1-8 alkyl substituted heterocyclic ring which may contain a further heteroatom are prepared by reacting 3,6-dichloropyridazine with an amine R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>11</SP>NH and reacting the 6-amino-3- chloropyridazine with hydrazine. Pharmaceutical compositions useful as antihypertensive agents comprise the compounds of the invention and a carrier therefor.
