Tread projections. - A device for attachment to wheel tyres for use on soft ground, consists of a shoe a of metal or hard wood with a metal casing c, tapering from the forward biting edge a<1> which is of less radial depth than the length of the shoe. The device (of which three or other number may be used) is attached by chains d or other means, and for use on twin tyres the shoe is formed with a rib engaging between the tyres.
