Abstract

1,157,170. Hydraulic transmission of power. COMMERCIAL SHEARING & STAMPING CO. March 31, 1967 [Aug.10, 1966], No.14990/67. Heading F1P. [Also in Division E1] In a hydraulic system for an excavator or backhoe comprising a number of hydraulic motors 28 controlled by two banks of spool valves 17-19, 22-25, a pump 10 supplies hydraulic fluid to the valves by way of a flow divider (12, Fig. 2, not shown) in the form of two pairs of intermeshing gears 32, 33, at least one gear of each pair being intercoupled whereby with one flow being directed to exhaust by one bank, one pair of gears is driven by the flow and drives the other pair to thereby boost the pressure of the other-flow. A pressure relief valve 13 limits the output pressure of the pump 10. The bank of valves 17-19 has an inlet section 16 provided with a pressure limiting valve 36 and the bank of valves 22-25 has an inlet section 20 provided with a pressure limiting valve 37.
