Abstract
115,664. Stroyer, J. P. R. N. May 11. 1917. Moulds for building. - Reinforced concrete vessels are cast with the bottom and side; in a horizontal position, the sides being subsequently raised into final position when the concrete is set. The bottom a of the vessel, is cast on sectional mould panels d supported by wedges e on piers f. The sides and ends are formed on detachable hinged d mould-panel sections g which are subsequently raised. The metal reinforcement projects from the concrete, preferably in loop form p, so that when the sides and ends are raised the loops register; longitudinal rods n are then passed through the loops and the whole embedded in bonding concrete. The bottom mould-panel can be removed in sections and the concrete treated by painting, asphalting, or tarring, if desired. The vessel is then lowered on to launching trolleys s on rails t on a sloping slipway.
