Abstract

1,155,866. Concrete piles. F. W. PLEUGER. 31 Aug., 1966 [8 Sept., 1965], No. 38876/66. Addition to 1145914. Heading E1H. In a method of producing pile foundations of concrete which includes the steps of inserting an open or closed bottomed tube 5 consisting wholly or in part of water soluble material into a drilling pipe 4 placed in the earth layers 1 and 2, then filling the water soluble tube with the concrete mixture 8 and afterwards removing the drilling pipe 4 as disclosed in Specification 1145914, a cylindrical cage 10 of wires is arranged around the tube 5 before inserting the tube into the drilling pipe. The wires of the cage 10 prevent a thickening of tube 5 due to the hydrostatic pressure of the wet concrete column so that the drilling pipe 4 can be removed without difficulty after filling the tube 5 with the concrete mixture.
