1,154,862. Mine arch supports for gateways. BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO. 14 Oct., 1966 [19 Oct., 1965; 7 Jan., 1966], No. 46041/66. Heading E1E. A mine arch support structure for gateways comprises a roof section 1 yieldingly connected to lateral segments 4 and supported by sleeper rails 2 carried by props 3 the ports being relatively arranged as shown. The ends of the roof section may be curved, see Fig. 3 (not shown) whilst in a further modification, the roof section is replaced by relatively slidable section the straight ends of which engage sleepers of channel cross-section, see Fig. 1 (not shown).
