1,021,296. Yielding mine arch supports. APPLICATIONS SCIENTIFIQUES TECHNIQUES INDUSTRIELLES ET COMMERCIALS. Sept. 30, 1963 [Sept. 29, 1962], No. 38335/63. Heading E1E. In a yielding mine arch support the headpiece CO has two curved branches MB each with a radius of curvation identical to that of the extremity of each of the legs P1, the two branches meeting at an angle a which is the same as the angle which the legs mate with one another in the position of maximum subsidence. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the two branches are spaced by an intermediate section whereby the two legs are spaced apart in the position of maximum yield.
