Abstract

1,154,461. Incinerator type sanitary closets. HAKANSSONS INDUSTRIER AB. 12 July, 1966 [15 July, 1965, 26 Nov., 1965, 3 Dec., 1965, 13 May, 1966], No. 31323/66. Heading E1C. In an incinerator-type sanitary closet comprising a closet bowl 1 mounted above an incinerator 2. The lower end of the bowl is closed by a circular lid and the upper end of the incinerator closed by a cover of larger diameter than the lid, the lid and cover having co-ordinated swinging movement whereby the lid is not laterally displaceable until the cover is situated therebeneath. The closet has a gas filter 4, 5 and a heating element in the form of a coiled tube 9 surmounted by a pretection plate 10 and disposed above an ash box 13, 14. The bowl is closed by a lower lid 20 which to-gether with a cover 12 for the incinerator 2 is pivotally mounted on a drive shaft 25 for lateral displacement. A fan 8 driven by an electric motor is arranged in the gas outlet and the shaft 25 is actuated by a pedal 31 acting on a spring-loaded toothed segment 28 in conjunction with a suitable driving mechanism for details of which the Specification and Figures 8 and 9 (not shown), should be referred to. The closet is designed so that the heating element cannot function until the lid 19 is closed, the heating element being controlled by a circuit, see Fig. 11 (not shown), incorporating a control lamp, thermostats and an electric motor for driving an extractor fan.
