Abstract
1,152,372. Laminated fabrics. KIMBERLY-CLARK CORP. 16 June, 1966 [21 June, 1965], No. 27015/66. Addition to 1,061,574. Heading B5N. A laminated fabric comprises a base web 11 of creped cellulose wadding to which an overlying web of highly drafted substantially aligned fibres 28a is bonded by elastomeric adhesive arranged in a regular pattern of spaced areas, the spacing between the areas in the longitudinal direction of the fibres being less than the average length of the fibres. The laminating apparatus shown differs from that of the parent Specification only in that the printing roll 12 for applying the adhesive has on its surface a pattern of spaced areas, preferably forming broken lines parallel to the axis of the roll, instead of having a grid-like pattern. The materials used are as disclosed in the parent Specification.
