A ship's ladder comprises upper and lower flights of steps 3, 10 connected by an intermediate platform 1. The steps 10 are pivoted to a plate 8 which by means of a strap 11 and bearing members 12 is rotatable about the platform 1. The lower end of the upper flight 3 and the upper end of the flight 10 are pivoted respectively to the platform 1 and the plate 8.
