Abstract

1,149,601. Clothes-airers. R. A. T. WALTERS. 6 Jan., 1967, No. 819/67. Heading A4U. Tubular, telescopic clothes-supporting rods 1 are mounted at one end in a cross member 2, rotatably supported in apertures in a bracket 5 in a cabinet 3, and the opposite ends are mounted in apertures in a cross member 6, rotatably mounted in apertures in an end frame 7, 8, the rods and frame being stored in telescoped, folded position inside the cabinet. The frame is retained in the cabinet by engagement of a peg 11 with an aperture in the member 8. The cabinet is secured to taps on a bath by a spring-urged member 26, 28 pivoted in the cabinet by a cross member 25, and the frame has sucker feet 10 and a plasticcovered wire retaining member 30. Locking rods pass through apertures in the ends of the rods 1, within the cross members 2, 6, and internal restraining members prevent over-extension of the rods 1.
