Abstract

1,149,126. Disc brakes. KNORR-BREMSE G.m.b.H. 10 Feb., 1967 [10 Feb., 1966], No. 6602/67. Heading F2E. [Also in Division B3] A disc for a disc brake comprises a cast friction body 1 to be engaged by the brake pads, a hub 9 and means comprising spokes 5 which mount the body 1 on the hub for rotation therewith and which are welded to the hub. The spokes may have a resilient section at 7, and their ends 6 may be split or offset for better anchorage when the body is cast around them. The hub may be welded to the spokes before or after the rim body has been cast on to the spokes. The rim body may comprise two discs 3, 4 joined by ventilation webs 2. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,080,640.
