Abstract

1,149,001. Cable ducts; two-part couplings; distribution arrangements. E. E. ISAACS and R. SMITH. 9 Jan., 1967 [14 Jan., 1966], No. 1950/66. Headings H2C and H2E. A wiring system comprises a number of sections of trunking 10 each mounting a plurality of printed conductors, corresponding conductors of the several sections being interconnected by jumpers to form lines between which electrical equipment and control gear can be connected, at least one of the conductors of one section being isolated from the corresponding conductor of the other sections by omission of a jumper or jumpers and being connected by a control switch (33) (Fig. 2, not shown) to one of the other lines, whereby equipment connected to said conductor can be controlled independently of equipment connected to the corresponding conductor in said other sections. The conductors may be colour coded and fitted with terminals 21 for receiving push-fit tabs 23 or alternatively the terminals may be spring-loaded for gripping the end of a wire. " Push-out " portions 40 are easily removable for the entry of wirecarrying conduits 22. The trunking may be fabricated of plastics material or metal, and the conductors may be printed on a baseboard 20 or may be rods.
