Abstract
1,148,780. Conjugate filaments. KANEGAFUCHI BOSEKI K.K., and SNIA VISCOSA SOC. NAZIONALE INDUSTRIA APPLICAZIONI VISCOSA S.p.A. 19 Dec., 1966, No. 56780/66. Heading B5B. A spinneret orifice for a side-by-side conjugate filament has a converging inlet into which protrudes a converging barrier for the flowing together of two streams of conjugate filamentforming materials. According to Fig. 1, annular and axial streams flow together at the apex of an annular barrier 8 of V-shaped crosssection extending into an annular groove 12 of V-shaped cross-section and pass as a plurality of conjugate side-by-side streams through an annular series of orifices 11. According to Fig. 4, the annular and axial streams are each divided into an annular series of streams by means of concentric annular series of orifices 26 and 27 in a plate 22 and flow together around an annular series of conical barriers 28 on the lower side of plate 22 and extending into corresponding conical inlets 29<SP>1</SP> leading to orifices 29.
