Abstract

1,148,027. Ice-making. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 21 Dec., 1967 [16 Jan., 1967], No. 58086/67. Heading F4H. Ice blocks are removed from a tray 20 having movable transverse walls 32 by pivotally mounting the inverted tray on a receiver bin 60 and moving the tray downwardly so that the ends 78 of walls 32 successively engage surfaces 76 of notches formed in the side walls of the bin to move the walls and eject the blocks into the bin. Walls 32 are mounted on a longitudinal wall 30 which has portions 42, 46 which extend through the end walls of the tray and a portion 50 which has a groove 52 for receiving a pivot pin 54 mounted on the tray.
