Abstract

1,212,487. Ice making. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 19 June, 1969 [1 July, 1968], No. 31074/69. Heading F4H. To facilitate the removal of ice pieces 52 from a congealer tray the tray has an ejector 42 pivoted on a rod 38 mounted in the.tray, the ejector having a longitudinal projection 50 that engages notches 24 in the end walls of a bin 20 the tray being pivoted about the rod 38 when inverted over the bin to cause the ejector to remove the pieces of ice. The tray may be of high density polyethylene or polypropylene. Alternatively the tray may be of anodized aluminium coated with polytetrafluoroethylene or a wax.
