Abstract
1,147,852. Polyurethane elastomers. CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. 4 Oct., 1967 [30 Nov., 1966], No. 45283/67. Heading C3R. Polyurethane elastomers are prepared by reacting a polyester derived from phthalic or terephthalic acid and a polypropylene glycol of low molecular weight, or a mixture of a polyether and a hydroxyl group-contained polyester derived from phthalic or terephthalic acid and/ or an α-substituted dicarboxylic acid with hexanediol, neopentyl glycol or dimethylolcyclohexane with a diisocyanate and a diol. In specific examples a terephthalic acid/ hexanediol polyester is mixed with a polypropylene glycol, the mixture reacted with 4,4<SP>1</SP>-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and the reaction product reacted with 1,4-butane diol.
