Abstract

1,147,319. Burners. J. J. RAUTENBACH. 23 Feb., 1968 [6 March, 1967; 28 July, 1967], No. 8953/68. Heading F4T. A liquid fuel pressure burner includes a fuel chamber 16 having walls 12, 14 of which wall 14 is a deformable rubber diaphragm and is acted upon by a spring 22 to reduce the volume of the chamber, the pressure of the spring being adjustable by means of a screwthreaded nut 34 and spindle 36 connected to a pressure plate 40. A reflector 42 defines an initial heating trough 48 to receive fuel for heating the burner element 20 on starting and prevents undue heating of the fuel chamber. The wall 14 may be in the form of a disc connected to plate 40 and connected to walls 12 by a bellows arrangement.
