Abstract

1,147,309. Cloth cutting devices. KARL REICHERT G.m.b.H., [trading as KRAUSS U. REICHERT SPEZIALMASCHINENFABRIK U. APPARATEBAU]. 23 Aug., 1967, No. 38826/67. Heading B4B. A hand-guided device for cutting cloth comprises a reciprocable cutter 30 driven from an electric motor through means including a flat spring 16 carrying the cutter. The upper end of the spring is held in a slot 15a of a stub shaft 15 arranged eccentrically of the axis of rotation 13 of the motor and the lower end of the spring is guided in a gap between two rollers 17, 18 which are pressed against the spring. The spindles 17a, 18a of the rollers are carried in bearing seats 19, 20 mounted on pivoted arms 21, 22 acted on by turnable links 23, 24 pivoted to bearing blocks 25, 26 attached to the inner wall of a casing part 11a through rubber pads 27, 28. The eccentricity of the shaft 15 may be varied by means of a disc (40), Fig. 3 (not shown), mounted in a recess (14b) of a disc (14) rotatable with the motor axis, the disc (40) having two pairs of diametrically-opposite recesses (40a) one pair of which is engageable with the heads of two screws (41).
