Abstract

1,146,399. Refrigerators. ERHARD & SOHNE G.m.b.H. 15 March, 1967 [19 March, 1966], No. 12079/67. Heading F4H. A bottle cooler comprises an insulated container 1 having a cover 3 and an annular cold accumulator 6 having a tapered internal surface. The accumulator may be made of several parts and may, as shown, rest on the neck of the bottle 8. Alternatively it is secured to the container or forms part of the cover. The accumulator comprises a hollow body of metal or plastics filled with brine which is pre-frozen before use. Supporting discs (Fig. 2, not shown) are placed in the bottom of the container when smaller bottles are to be cooled.
