Abstract

In an inductive remote control system the transmitter comprises a transistor oscillator feeding a transmitting coil wound on a ferrite rod to give a directional characteristic. The receiver includes a similar ferrite rod carrying a pick-up coil 11 tuned by a capacitor 12 and supplying via an amplifier 13, 14, a detector 17 including a tuned circuit 16. The emitter of transistor 17 is connected to a tapping on the inductor 18, the resulting positive feedback being such that the circuit oscillates when an input signal is present. A transistor 19 is connected with its base-emitter path in the emitter circuit of transistor 17 and operates as an emitter-follower supplying a signal via a delay circuit 20 and output transistor 21 to operate a relay 22. The delay circuit ensures that short duration interference signals are ineffective.
