Abstract

1,145,015. Motorized control valves. SATCHWELL CONTROLS Ltd. 24 March, 1966 [29 March, 1965], No. 13283/65. Heading F2V. A motorized control apparatus comprises a rotary control unit such as a fluid flow control valve having a casing 1 and a spindle 2, and a motor-tranmission unit 4 having an output driving member 8 for engagement with the spindle 2, and a slidable locking member 14, either the casing or the wall 9 of the motortransmission unit having at least one projection 11 and the other having a corresponding number of holes 10, the or each projection being arranged to extend through the or each hole on assembly of the two units, and the slidable locking member being arranged to engage the control unit to releasably couple the two units together. The slide may be formed at one end with prongs 13 to engage a grooved boss 3 on the control unit and at the other end with a tongue 4 to facilitate manual movement of the slide. The motor-transmission unit has a rightangled configuration so as to fit closely over the control unit and is provided with a cover 19 which is fitted to prevent inadvertent release of the slide. The motor-transmission unit is also claimed per se.
