[Also in Division F1] A rotor vane, e.g. for a torque converter, in which the vane angle #x at any point x on the vane steadily increases or decreases from the inlet edge of the vane in accordance with the equation: where # 1 is the vane angle at the inlet edge, #x is the angle subtended at the rotor axis by the portion of the vane between the inlet edge and the point x, and m is a constant.
