Abstract

114,404. Spencer, A. Nov. 29, 1917. Force-feed lubricators.-To lubricate a railway-vehicle axlebox, a pump placed either outside or inside the box and operated bv vertical oscillations of the vehicle draws oil from areservoir in the lower part of the box and forces it to an upper chamber 32, whence it flows by gravity through holes 34 to the journal. Surplus oil overflows through a hole 37. The pump piston is connected to the vehicle frame 31 by a rod 25.
