Abstract

1,140,275. Brushes. DENDIX BRUSHES Ltd. 29 Sept., 1967 [29 Sept., 1966], No. 43676/66. Heading A4K. [Also in Division B3] The cylinder of a rotary brush has holes 6, through which air is sucked into the interior of the brush while it is rotating. The interior of the brush may be connected to a separate suction pump. Alternatively, the brush rotates in conjunction with a turbine rotor 7 having curved vanes and an adjustable sleeve 8. The flow of air is controlled by the sleeve 8, to prevent air turbulence from blowing a liquid slurry of abrasive particles away from the surface being brushed.
