Abstract

1,140,039. Colour photographic materials. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORP. May 24, 1966 [June 7, 1965], No. 23099/66. Heading G2C. A multi-colour photographic material comprises a flexible support carrying on at least one side, in order, (a) a hardened silver chlorobromide emulsion having a low blue sensitivity sensitized to green and containing a magenta colour-coupler, (b) a hardened gelatine interlayer, (c) a hardened silver bromoiodide emulsion layer of high blue sensitivity containing a cyan colour coupler, and (d) a hardened gelatine outer layer. The emulsion layers may also contain a yellow colour coupler. Specified hardeners are formaldehyde, hydroxyaldehydes glyoxal, triacrylformal mixtures of such aldehydes with phenols, alums, and chromium acetate. The material is developed by an aromatic p-amino developer e.g. 4-N, N-diethyaminoaniline and 4-N, N-di (#-hydroxyethyl)-aminoaniline. The material may contain the usual sensitizing dyes, stabilizers and wetting agents. Specified supports are paper and film supports.
