[Also in Division H1]` A tool support, e.g. for a welding, cutting, grinding or spraying tool, comprises a mounting 4 for the tool carried on two depending flexible legs 7, 8 having magnetic feet 9 for attachment to a suitable base 11 which may be a workpiece. As shown, the tool is a welding electrode holder 2 held in a clamp 4 connected by a ball-joint 5 to the legs 7, 8. The feet 9 are provided with permanent magnets 10 and resiliently mounted ball castors to facilitate movement over the base 11. The support may be used for bevelling or profile cutting.
