Abstract

1,137,875. Bale sledges. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. 13 April, 1966 [12 May, 1965], No. 16283/66. Heading B5F. An inclined guide member 31 is arranged at the forward end of a bale sledge to enable a second layer of bales to be accumulated on the sledge. The guide member comprises a series of rods extending rearwardly from a plate (26) arranged to pivot about stub shafts 28. The angle of inclination can be varied, being set by a locking pin engaging in holes 29 in plates 26. A gate 11 at the rear is pivoted at 10 and held closed by spring biased pivoted latches 14 which can be released by means of cables &c. 21, 22 interconnected by a pivoted bell crank lever 20.
